crazy for coral

Coral is going to be a big, big deal, according to Michelle Lamb.   She should know, she is the editorial director of The Trend Curve, the international authority on color and design trends in home furnishings.

Coral, with its spectrum ranging from deep pinks to reddish-orange tones, is the color of positive energy and welcoming connotations. Few colors conjure such joyful associations -- the elegant branching forms of an undersea reef, the ocean's voice heard in a conch shell. The color elicits a human response, making it a natural choice for interior spaces.

Check out the coral palette we recently chose for my Santa Fe clients’ new home!

courageous coral

What a transformation from 'builder beige' to courageous coral!  These clients embraced their 'live life boldly' lifestyle by incorporating courageous coral into their color story.  And they love it!

"Jennifer listened carefully to our preferences and took us a few steps beyond our usual comfort zone into using colors that are truly amazing.  She helped us transform our "white box" into a much warmer and more personalized space that brings out the best in our artwork and furnishings.

The whole process from consultation to finished product was fun instead of anxiety producing     and exceeded our expectations."

incorporate coral

Michelle Lamb emphasized that coral will be the single most important color of next year in home accents.
Coral has positive energy and is pleasing to the eye.  It can be easy to pair with other colors and is very versatile.  Brown gives it a modern feel, whereas purple and coral create a sassy combo.  Combine it with turquoise to provide an inviting mix of warm and cool touches in a space.  Or partner coral with white or ivory for a clean, crisp look.

how do i look?

Coral is rejuvenating!  It is a flattering color for most skin tones, and is great for a ceiling, casting a warm glow on the occupants.  Try it on one wall, or one item – you’ll be back for more.
