I’ll give this to you firsthand.  This winter weather makes me want to stay in.  After being home office bound for two days straight I did accomplish a ton.  But it was time to get out!

I headed over to one of my favorite consignment shops in Santa Fe, Recollections.

need art, accessories, an attitude adjustment?

Recollections is one on Santa Fe’s best go-to shops for upscale furniture consignments, specializing in everything from fine interiors to garden accessories.  There’s nothing more heartwarming than browsing through garden accessories in February.

sunshine, lighting fixtures and rainbows?

Not quite, but I had that same feel-good vibe, from Leslie Gore's hit song, at Recollections.  Two features stand out for me in this beautiful shop, and both have to do with light.  Ok, I admit it, it was a cold day.  But their collection of chandeliers is scrumptious!  Whether you’re looking for modern, funky or traditional there are many choices.  Think about how you could dress them up with paint or embellishments to match them to your home decor.

The highlight of the store cannot be purchased with a credit card.  It’s the long, sunny window ledge filled with blooming geraniums of every color - my favorite isle.

The next time you need a (sunny) window shopping fix you might want to visit Recollections in Santa Fe.
